Morteratsch glacier trail

With “Sabi“ children’s book

The children's book "Sabi's Big Dream" forms the basis of this adventure tour for kids between 5 and 12 years old. The children participate in a treasure hunt to learn about the unique mountain landscape and the history of the glacier in a fun way. With the help of a small book, which is also available at the Pontresina Tourist Information Centre and includes a variety of information about the hike to the Morteratsch Glacier in addition to the story, young and old adventurers will have fun in these fantastic surroundings by getting to know the natural elements and spending an exciting day with the family.

More information: is available on the MySwitzerland website »
Costs: Free of charge
Baby buggy: Yes
Our tip: Combine your excursion on the Morteratsch glacier trail with a visit to the Morteratsch open-house dairy ». In the summer season, cheese is made here twice daily (starting in September, only once daily). You and your family can watch during cheese making and taste cream cheese and whey as they are made. If you have time in the afternoon, it's worth it to view the glacier from above. Drive to the Diavolezza valley station (free parking is available) and take the gondola until the Diavolezza mountain station ». The view is worth it!
